Liv Shockley is a Lighting Designer and Technician currently based in Johnson City, Tennessee.
While in Johnson City, Liv is the Head Lighting Technician at the Martin Center for the Arts, designing for touring live music acts which have included Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Indigo Girls, and 49 Winchester as well as numerous ETSU Department of Music concerts. In this role she also leads teams of IATSE stagehands as electricians and followspot operators.
She is also a lighting designer at the Orange Peel in Asheville, North Carolina. She provides lighting for bands which do not tour an LD, and assists touring LDs of bands that do. Design credits here have included Thomas Headon, Andrea von Kampen, and Alexandra Kay.
In the summers, Liv works at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Northwestern Michigan as a Lead Lighting Technician. There, she leads a team of 12 Lighting, Sound, and Video Technicians in hanging, maintaining, and operating lighting across 5 venues. She also serves as Lighting Crew Chief for bands which tour through the venue.
